Constitutional Integrity of the National Assembly for Wales

The National Assembly for Wales believes:

1.Elections are the property of the people;

2.As a matter of constitutional principle significant electoral changes require a mandate from the people;

3.The primary ownership of the electoral arrangements for the National Assembly of Wales belongs to the people of Wales;

4. No Westminster Government should interfere with the electoral arrangements for the National Assembly for Wales without a mandate in the form of a general election manifesto commitment or without the consent of the National Assembly for Wales or a referendum mandate.
