Voter Registration Day 2015

This Assembly:

Notes that National Voter Registration Day was launched by Bite the Ballot in 2014;

Welcomes the fact that in 2014, 50,000 people were registered in just one day through events being held across the UK by businesses, community groups and schools;

Congratulates Bite the Ballot on their campaign and their aim to register 250,000 people on National Voter Registration Day this year;

Welcomes moves to encourage more young people to vote; and

Calls on the Welsh Government and local authorities to support National Voter Registration Day 2015.
