Bite the Ballot

This Assembly:

notes that during the week of 1 to 7 February 2016, Bite The Ballot and partners will coordinate the UK's third annual drive to get people registered on the electoral roll;

notes the 'Wales 2016′ campaign is being launched on 5 February by the Assembly Commission to encourage the people of Wales to register and turn out to vote on 5 May 2016;

expresses concern that over a million names fell off the electoral registers in December 2015; and

calls on the Welsh Government and local councils to support National Voter Registration Day on 5 February.
