Catalonia Referendum 2014

This Assembly:

a) notes the advisory referendum held on Catalonian independence in 2014;

b) believes the vote was democratic and that the Catalan Parliament and Government were legitimate in seeking the views of the people;

c) condemns the decision of the Spanish state to prosecute those Parliamentarians who promoted and enabled the referendum; and

d) calls on the First Minister to make representations to the UK Government with a view to seeking a condemnation of the Spanish Government's actions.
