To ask the Minister for Natural Resources

Ann Jones (Vale of Clwyd): What building regulations/planning controls are in place to control construction of bridges over main water courses? (WAQ67996)

The Minister for Natural Resources (Carl Sargeant): The Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (Wales) Order 2012 requires a local planning authority to consult Natural Resources Wales where a planning application has been submitted for development involving the carrying out of works or operations in the bed of or on the banks of a river or stream.

Technical Advice Note (TAN) 15: Development and Flood Risk identifies that Natural Resources Wales has statutory powers to control the erection of structures in, over or under main rivers.

William Powell (Mid and West Wales): Will the Minister set out the number of Individual Patient Funding Request appeals made for each health board during the period 1 April 2013 to 31 March 2014, setting out how many were successful and how many were unsuccessful? (WAQ67992)
