NHS Covenant (Wales) Bill
Policy Objectives of the proposed Bill:
To honour the hardworking staff of the Welsh NHS through an NHS Covenant which will guarantee that the NHS remains in public hands and is free at the point of use; guarantee increased investment into the Welsh NHS; guarantee that NHS staff will receive pay as recommended by the independent NHS Pay Review Body; improve NHS staff wellbeing with more flexible working hours, increased holiday, greater access to childcare and mental health support; and aim to eradicate the abuse of NHS staff.
