Assembly Commission to launch Welsh Language Scheme

The National Assembly for Wales Commission will launch its new Welsh Language Scheme in the Senedd at 5.30 on Wednesday July 11th. The Presiding Officer Lord Dafydd Elis-Thomas AM will present the scheme. Meirion Prys Jones, Chief Executive, of the Welsh Language Board will also speak. The Presiding Officer said “I am proud to be launching the Assembly  Commission’s Welsh Language Scheme. The Assembly Parliamentary service has always placed bilingualism at the heart of everything it has done and now that we are formally separated from the Welsh Assembly Government it gives me great pleasure to see that a Welsh Language Scheme is amongst the Commission’s first achievements. I look forward to meeting the commitments we have made in the scheme” The Welsh Language Scheme
