Assembly Committee to meet in Colwyn Bay

The Petitions Committee of the National Assembly for Wales will hold its next meeting on Thursday 6th March in Colwyn Bay. The Committee will meet at 11.00am at the National Assembly’s North Wales Visitor Centre.

The committee will be gathering evidence in relation to three petitions that have been submitted to the National Assembly, on The Rhyl Flats Wind farm Project, Neurological Surgery Services in North Wales and the Regional Waste Plan First Review. This is the first time the committee, established last July after the petitions system was introduced, has met outside Cardiff.

Members will listen to presentations from the petitioners and will consider new petitions received since the last meeting.

Chair of the Committee, Val Lloyd AM said: The petitions system is providing the people of Wales with an opportunity to engage with us on issues that are important to them.  We are pleased to be meeting in Colwyn Bay and are looking forward to hearing the views of the petitioners on issues that directly affect the area.

The meeting takes place at the National Assembly’s North Wales Visitor Centre, Princes Drive, Colwyn Bay from 11.00am until 2.00pm.
