Children and Young People Committee to quiz Teaching Unions on Child Poverty.

The Assembly’s Children and Young People Committee will take evidence from Teaching Unions and the WLGA at its next meeting on Wednesday June 25th, 2008.  

Members will hold discussions with the NASUWT; the Association of Teachers and Lecturers Cymru; and the Association of Directors of Education in Wales on the role that education can play in tackling child poverty, while the WLGA will provide a local authority’s perspective on the issues.

The meeting will take place from 9:00am until 11:00am on Wednesday, June 25th, in Committee Room 2, Senedd, National Assembly for Wales, Cardiff Bay.
