Culture Committee to discuss Arts Policy

The Culture, Welsh Language and Sport Committee of the National Assembly for Wales is to hold a series of scrutiny sessions on the Welsh Assembly Government’s Culture, Welsh Language and Sport Policies. The first, on Arts policy will take place at the next meeting of the Committee on Wednesday February 1^st. Other sessions will be on Sports Policy (8^th March) and Welsh Language Policy (5^th April).

On February 1^st, the Committee will also receive a presentation from Huw Jones, chief executive of the Sports Council for Wales, which will give an overview of football in Wales, before discussing terms of reference and evidence for the Committee’s review of Football in Wales. Also on the agenda is the Welsh Assembly Government’s 2004-05 Annual report on Equality. The meeting takes place on Wednesday February 1st from 9.00am until 12.00pm in Committee Room 2, Cardiff Bay.
