First Assembly Measure completes first stage of progress

The first Assembly Measure has today (Tuesday January 30) completed the first stage of progress, with the Assembly reaching agreement on the general principles of the proposed NHS Redress (Wales) Measure 2007 in Plenary. Stage 2, detailed consideration of the Measure by a committee, will begin tomorrow. The Measure aims to make it quicker and easier for NHS patients to claim compensation when their treatment goes wrong.
