Lithuanian Exhibition at the Senedd

An exhibition of photographic images of Vilnius, Lithuania's capital city, is on public display in the Oriel all this week.  Vilnius Rhymes depicts four decades of change in Vilnius from 1960 to the present day in a series of black and white images by the photographer Algimantas Kuncius.   Sponsored by the Presiding Officer, the exhibition has been brought to the Senedd by the Lithuanian Ministry of Culture.  Speaking alongside His Excellency Mr Vygaudas Ušackas the Lithuanian Ambassador to the UK at the launch of the exhibition on Tuesday 18 September the Presiding Officer said: “I am very pleased to be sponsoring this exhibition at the Senedd. The quality of the images on display in outstanding and their display in the Senedd provides an opportunity for the public to visit the Senedd to see the exhibition and develop their understanding of one of our new European neighbours. The exhibition runs until Friday.September 21st. The Senedd is open from 8.00am-8.00pm Tuesday to Thursday; 8.00am – 6pm Monday and Friday; and 10.30am – 6.00pm at weekends.
