National Assembly for Wales inquiry examining disability-related harassment in Wales gets underway

The National Assembly for Wales’s Communities, Equality and Local Government Committee will this week begin taking evidence as part of an inquiry into disability-related harassment in Wales.

The Committee will hear from the Equality and Human Rights Commission in Wales, which recently released a report entitled ‘Hidden in Plain Sight’ examining the experiences of disabled people in Wales.

Assembly Members will also take evidence from Mencap Cymru and the All-Wales Hate Crime Research Project.

The Communities, Equality and Local Government Committee meeting will take place at 9.30am on Wednesday, 21 September in Committee Room 3 of the Senedd.

A further evidence session for this inquiry will be held on Thursday, 29 September 2011.
