The National Assembly for Wales’s flags are being flown at half-mast today (8 April) to mark the death of former Prime Minister, Baroness Thatcher of Kesteven.

There will be an opportunity for Assembly Members to mark her contribution to British public life when the Assembly reconvenes on 16 April, when the Assembly’s flags will again be flown at half-mast

“On behalf of Members of the National Assembly for Wales, I would like to offer condolences to the family of Baroness Thatcher,” said Presiding Officer, Rosemary Butler AM.

“The former Prime Minister has been a key figure in British history and no doubt made a huge impact on all our lives.

“It is right that the National Assembly for Wales marks the passing of such an influential figure in British life.”
