Presiding Officer backs Wrexham for cup success

22 March 2013

The Presiding Officer of the National Assembly for Wales, Rosemary Butler AM, is backing Wrexham Football Club to lift the FA Trophy on Sunday (24 March).

The Dragons face Grimsby Town in their first ever Wembley final.

“Wrexham have done fantastically well to reach the final,” said Presiding Officer Rosemary Butler.

“Andy Morrell is doing a great job with the team which is also pushing hard to win the Conference title and promotion back into the Football League.

“It is a great season for the fans, particularly when you think about the problems that the club has faced in recent years.

“I am so happy that they are now getting some success on the field and I wish the team the best of luck ahead of their Wembley showdown.”
