Rosemary Butler AM, Presiding Officer of the National Assembly for Wales, met with organisations from across north Wales on Thursday 13 October 2011.

A reception was held at the National Assembly for Wales office in Colwyn Bay

and was one of the first in a series of events to be held across the five regions of Wales.

The reception gave the Presiding Officer an opportunity to meet individuals from the area and forge future relationships.

On Friday 14 October 2011, The Presiding Officer met with school council members from north Denbighshire during a visit to Glan Clwyd high school.

Twelve pupils from Rhyl, Prestatyn, Blessed Edward Jones and Glan Clwyd high schools took part in a discussion regarding young people’s participation in democracy.
