The Senedd has achieved a Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence, awarded by the website to attractions which "consistently earn great reviews from travellers".
With more than 80 "excellent" or "very good" reviews praising both Assembly staff and it's distinctive architecture, the Senedd building regularly welcomes visitors from all over the world.
"We are thrilled to receive Trip Advisor's Certificate of Excellence," said Presiding Officer, Dame Rosemary Butler AM.
"The iconic Senedd building represents the centre of democracy and devolution in Wales. At its very heart lies the principles of accessibility, transparency and sustainability and I am proud that we have been recognised in such a positive way".
The Senedd, which was officially opened by Her Majesty the Queen on St David's Day in 2006, is the main public building of the National Assembly for Wales. Its distinctive design attracts visitors from all over the world and in 2012 the Senedd welcomed its millionth visitor.
It was designed by architects Rogers Stirk Harbour and Partners to be transparent and accessible to the public while being one of the most environmentally-friendly parliamentary buildings in the world.
The Senedd's environmental credentials have resulted in a number of awards including a prestigious "excellent" certification under the Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM), the first to be given in Wales.
The design has also contributed to the National Assembly making a gross saving of over £100k through energy efficiency measures, as well as reducing its carbon emissions.
There have been architectural accolades as well, with the Senedd winning a Civic Trust Award in 2008, the Chicago Athenaeum International Award in 2006 and a national award from the Royal Institute of British Architects in the same year.
Tirion Hope-Brown, the Assembly's Front of House Manager, added, "I am very proud of my staff. We are the parliament of Wales and pride ourselves on giving a world class welcome. This achievement is a team effort, everyone from the Front of House staff to our colleagues who work behind the scenes, we can all be very proud".
Visitors can enjoy a free tour, watch the political action as it happens in the Chamber or enjoy a coffee in the café. The Senedd also hosts a variety of events with performers, singers, exhibitions and activities happening throughout the year. The building is usually open seven days a week but please check the National Assembly for Wales website before travelling.
