The Senedd Commission has been recognised by the Employers Network for Equality & Inclusion for their efforts in advancing diversity in the organisation.

The Employers Network for Equality & Inclusion is a leading employer network covering all aspects of equality and inclusion in the workplace.

The network awarded the Senedd a Silver award in the Talent Inclusion & Diversity Evaluation (TIDE) benchmarking scheme.

This is an improvement on the standing last year, when the Senedd was given a Bronze award. The Senedd’s score increased from 64% in 2020 to 80% this year.

The scheme scores organisations across a number of areas including, workforce monitoring, diversity strategy, leadership, recruitment, training and engagement. The increased score reflects the work that the Senedd Commission has done to embed diversity and inclusion across the organisation through strong leadership, supportive staff networks, continued awareness raising and through the development of inclusive policies.

The Senedd was also recognised for its commitment to monitoring diversity data to implement change for staff and job applicants. Senedd teams have also worked hard throughout the Covid-19 pandemic adapting policies to better support staff when working from home.

Lowri Williams, Head of Human Resources and Inclusion Services, said; “We’re extremely proud of our work, and this new recognition will support our continuing efforts in advancing diversity and inclusion. We hope to build on this achievement in future and ensure that all Senedd employees continue to work in the best possible environment.”
