Following the resignation of a member of the Independent Remuneration Board of the Senedd, the Senedd Commission is seeking to fill a vacancy on the Board.
After the completion of the public appointments recruitment process last year, whereby a new Chair and member to the Board were appointed, other candidates who met the requirements of the role were retained on a reserve list.
The Chief Executive and Clerk of the Senedd has confirmed an intention to appoint a candidate from this list, subject to continued availability and eligibility. This appointment will take into account the skills and knowledge mix the Board requires as a whole. On this basis reserve candidates with previous recent experience in an elected office, as identified in their applications, will be approached on this occasion.
Should none of the candidates on the reserve list be available, eligible or meet the skills and knowledge requirements, a new recruitment process will be undertaken.
Once an eligible candidate has been selected, their appointment will be notified to the Senedd Commission for appointment.
