The National Assembly for Wales as a legislature – then, now, the future

Event being held Thursday 22 September – the Pierhead, Cardiff Bay

March 2011 heralded the beginning of a fundamental shift for the National Assembly’s legislative process, with a ‘yes’ vote conferring on the Assembly legislative competence in all the devolved fields.

... To mark this significant milestone the National Assembly for Wales, the Study of Parliament Group and the Wales Governance Centre will host a conference to consider the legacy of previous Assemblies, the challenges the Fourth Assembly faces as an empowered legislature and the future of Welsh law and devolution. The conference will welcome expert speakers from a range of backgrounds along with key representatives from the National Assembly.
