The Senedd is seeking to appoint to the following vacancies for Non-Executive Members of the Wales Audit Office Board (commencing in March 2023):
- Two Non-Executive Members (£12,500 per annum, non-pensionable, 2-3 days per month)
- Chair of the Board (£25,000 per annum, non-pensionable, 4 days per month)
The Wales Audit Office is a body consisting of a nine-member statutory Board which employs staff and provides other resources to the Auditor General for Wales. The Board monitors and advises the Auditor General, regarding the exercise of his functions.
The Auditor General examines the accounts of county and county borough councils, police, fire and rescue authorities, national parks and community councils, as well as the Welsh Government, its sponsored and related public bodies, the Senedd Commission and National Health Service bodies.
