Petitions Committee Visit

As part of the Assembly’s commitment to the people of Wales, the Petitions committee regularly visit areas around Wales to meet people and gather information that will help them when considering petitions that they have received. This autumn the Committee will be visiting areas across Wales on Sunday 10 November and Monday 11 November. On Sunday the Committee will be visiting the old Mid Wales Hospital Site in Talgarth having received a petition urging the Welsh Government to list or otherwise protect buildings of note on the site. The Committee will then be visiting the Great Woods at Gregynog near Newtown to see some examples of ancient veteran and heritage trees following a petition sent by Coed Cadw Cymru. Click here for more information on this petition. On Monday morning the Petitions Committee will be at Prestatyn High School, Prestatyn, North Wales. Members of the Committee will be having an informal discussion with students at the school to ask what they think about the army recruiting in schools. Before heading back to Cardiff Bay for more Committee meeting and Plenary on Tuesday the Committee will be holding a meeting at Prestatyn High School.
