About

Groups will receive a tour of the Senedd and visit the original debating chamber, Siambr Hywel, where they will take part in a role play exercise tailored to the needs of the group.

Activities

Begin your tour with a short introduction to the Senedd, before learning about the sustainable features of the Senedd.

Siambr Hywel

Pupils will use microphones and voting equipment to form, express and discuss their own opinions in a mock Plenary debate. Pupils will debate a topic from the following list:

  • My Wales, My Planet
  • Fitness and Wellbeing
  • My Dreams
  • Science and Technology

Groups will understand that decisions made by their representatives can affect their lives and that they can make a difference.

Plus, groups will get to discover more about the work of the Welsh Youth Parliament and how those with additional learning needs are having a voice.
