Futures Gallery

Projects from communities across Wales are showcased in the Pierhead Futures Gallery. These exhibitions explore ambitions and issues facing our communities or celebrate the cultural heritage of Wales.

 

Available Spaces for Display

Four display boards measuring 300cm wide x 200cm high (both sides can be used)

A ply wall at the back of gallery measuring 420cm wide x 275cm tall

Two glass cabinets measuring:

  • 90cm high x 100cm wide x 50cm deep
  • 180cm high x 50cm wide x 50cm deep

(additional cabinets may be available on request)

55” monitor on wheeled stand (additional monitors may be available on request)

 

Artwork

Audio/visual pieces can be played on the available monitors.

3D artwork can be displayed freestanding with low barriers or in glass cabinets (depending on size).

2D artwork can be displayed on our exhibition boards.

 

Hanging

The display boards are suitable for both light and heavy artwork and can be hung with either our hanging system or attached with command tape or Velcro.

The ply wall does not have a hanging system. Artwork must be attached with mirror plates, command tape or Velcro.

Our hanging system has combinations of hooks and cords for loads up to 20 kg.

 

Lighting

Lighting can be adjusted in the Futures Gallery using the track spotlights.

 

Accessibility

The Pierhead is a fully accessible building. The Futures Gallery can be accessed via stairs or lift.

There is an external lift available for disabled visitors at our accessible parking area outside the Senedd.
