Economy, Trade, and Rural Affairs Committee

The Economy, Trade, and Rural Affairs Committee has been set up by the Senedd to look at policy and legislation, and to hold the Welsh Government to account in specific areas. These areas include business, economic development, skills, international trade, agriculture, fisheries and food.

The Committee has six Members who come from the different parties represented in the Senedd, and is chaired by Paul Davies MS.

The Committee was established on 23 June 2021 to examine legislation and hold the Welsh Government to account by scrutinising its expenditure, administration and policy matters, encompassing (but not restricted to): economic development, regeneration, skills, trade, research and development (including technology and science), and rural affairs.
