After a committee meeting

A committee may:

  • hold more evidence sessions
  • find out more information, which might include writing to you to ask follow up questions
  • prepare and publish a report, with recommendations usually to the Welsh Government

The committee clerking team will keep you updated.

Watch the meeting again

You can watch sessions back on Senedd.tv. You can also download clips from meetings.

Read the transcript

The transcript of a meeting, the ‘Record of Proceedings’, is usually available on the Senedd website within a few days.

The ‘Record of Proceedings’ is a word-for-word written record of what was said during a meeting, and is lightly edited to address problems such as grammatical errors, slips of the tongue and obvious mistakes.

The committee clerking team will email you a link to the transcript when it’s available.

You have an opportunity to read the transcript and check if it’s correct. You’ll be given a certain amount of time to suggest any corrections to what you said.

Diversity and inclusion

You’ll receive an email asking you to complete a diversity survey.

Committees monitor the diversity of who provides evidence by asking witnesses, and others they work with, to tell them a bit more about themselves and the organisations they represent.

The responses help committees better understand what barriers to participation might be.
