AMs to quiz First Minister on public services

A cross-party group of Assembly Members will have the chance to quiz First Minister Rhodri Morgan on public services in Wales at a meeting next week. The Scrutiny of the First Minister Committee meets on Thursday January 25 at 2pm in Committee Room xx, Senedd, Cardiff Bay. The topic on the agenda is the future of public services. Janet Davies AM, Chair of the Committee, said: “This is a valuable chance for AMs to question the First Minister closely on the delivery of public services, particularly in the light of the Beecham report, which calls for enhanced performance, efficiency and value for money in public services.” Notes to editors: The Committee for the Scrutiny of the First Minister was established on 22 February 2005. As set out in Standing Order 18A, the Committee's purpose is to take oral evidence from the First Minister on any matter within Ministers’ fields of accountability.
