Cuban Politicians visit the National Assembly for Wales

The Deputy Presiding Officer, Rosemary Butler AM, and representatives of the Assembly’s political party groups will meet a delegation from Cuba’s National Assembly at the Senedd on Wednesday 14 November. The delegation led by Mr Jaime Crombet Hernandez-Baquero is visiting the UK at the invitation of the British Group of the Inter-Parliamentary Union. Their programme in the UK includes meeting with politicians in Westminster, Cardiff and Edinburgh. Deputy Presiding Officer Rosemary Butler said “I am pleased that this delegation is visiting the Assembly.  Many people in Wales take an interest in Cuba.  This visit brings an opportunity for direct discussions and exchanges of opinion.  The Assembly has been pleased to assist the IPU in providing input to its programmes for parliamentary visitors to the UK.” Note to editors: The visit to the National Assembly is at the request of and sponsored by the British Group of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
