Celebration of Welsh Contemporary Painting

Celebration of Welsh Contemporary Painting (CoWCP) aims to demonstrate the vibrancy and talent of painting in Wales. Dates: 10 January – 25 February 2025.

Tiger Bay and the Docks: 1880s – 1950s

In partnership with The Heritage and Cultural Exchange, three new displays have been created in the Pierhead that give visitors a glimpse into life in Tiger Bay and the docks from the 1880s – 1950s.

The statue of Cranogwen, created by Sculptor Sebastien Boyesen, was unveiled in Llangrannog by village children on 10 June 2024.

Monumental Welsh Women

Monumental Welsh Women is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to recognising the contribution of women to the history and life of Wales. In 2016, the group started campaigning to get five statues of notable Welsh women erected in different locations around Wales. Dates: 22 February - 7 May 2025.

In 2013, Grahame Hurd-Wood embarked on an ambitious project to paint a portrait of every resident in St Davids, Pembrokeshire. Dates: 1 March - 12 April 2025.

Home: The Key to Hope

Crisis, the national homelessness charity, is proud to share this exhibition created by members of Crisis Skylight South Wales. It emphasises that for people experiencing homelessness, the prospect of having a place to call home is often the key to hope. Dates: 7 January – 13 February 2025.

Wales RAF Reserves and the 100th anniversary of the Royal Auxiliary Air Force

This exhibition tells the story of Wales' only RAF Reserve squadron - Number 614 (County of Glamorgan) Squadron - from its foundation in 1937 to the present day. Dates: 8 November 2024 - 4 January 2025.

From Migration to Resilience

From Migration to Resilience tells the story of forced migration and of lives rebuilt after the expulsion of Asians from Uganda in 1972; and celebrates the vibrant religious and cultural heritage of Welsh Asian communities. Dates: 16 November – 19 December 2024.

The Senedd and Pierhead are home to a changing programme of exhibitions, giving you the opportunity to raise awareness of your organisation or community and its ambitions, issues and concerns.

Senedd Artworks

When the Senedd building first opened four artists were commissioned to provide sculptures to form part of the architecture of the building. More recently, Welsh artist Angharad Pearce Jones was commissioned to create two sculptures for the Senedd’s main public spaces to allow people to connect and learn about the Senedd and the Members who represent them.
