Work Opportunity: Social Media Assistant for Rhun ap Iorwerth, Leader of the Plaid Cymru Group
Salary range (pro rata): £23,742 - £31,798
All new staff are expected to enter on the scale minimum of the appropriate pay band. Individual staff will, subject to satisfactory performance, move up the incremental scale one point at a time on the anniversary of their commencement of employment until they reach the scale maximum for their band.
Working hours: 1 day a week (7.4 hours)

Purpose of job:
Assist in the creation and monitoring of digital content and support the communications of the Plaid Cymru Group in the Senedd.
Main duties:
- Support communications by researching, contributing ideas, preparing and creating a range of creative and dynamic digital content to promote the work of the Plaid Cymru Group
- Work proactively to propose new social media ideas, as well as create and share engaging proactive content
- Assist with the Group's engagement work on social media, including monitoring and responding to comments
- Assist in identifying any upcoming events that may offer opportunities for media and social media coverage
Essential knowledge and experience:
- Experience in a communications environment, especially digital communications
- An understanding of, and a commitment to, the need to tackle discrimination and promote equal opportunities, and the ability to work in a politically sensitive environment
- Commitment to the Nolan Principles of Public Life
Essential qualifications:
- NVQ level 3 or 4 or equivalent in a relevant subject
