Ffisiotherapyddion Graddedig yng Nghymru
Mae’r Cynulliad Cenedlaethol Cymru yn bryderus bod nifer o’r ffisiotherapyddion a raddiodd o Brifysgol Caerdydd yn 2006 dal heb swyddi ac yn nodi bod myfyrwyr 2007 ar fin graddio, a nifer ohonynt heb swyddi gwag yn eu disgwyl.
Mae’r Cynulliad yn nodi, fodd bynnag, bod dal 659 o gleifion yn aros dros 24 wythnos am ffisiotherapi, a 4,059 yn aros rhwng 12 a 24 wythnos am apwyntiad ffisiotherapi cleifion allanol.
Mae’r Cynulliad yn galw ar y llywodraeth i sicrhau na chaiff y dalent sy’n cael ei meithrin yng Nghymru ei cholli a bod comisiynwyr yn buddsoddi mewn gwasanaethau ffisiotherapi er mwyn iddynt allu cyflogi’r graddedigion hyn.
Graduate Physiotherapists in Wales
The National Assembly for Wales is concerned at the number of physiotherapists who graduated from Cardiff University in 2006 still without a job and notes that the 2007 qualifiers are about to graduate, many without jobs to go to.
The Assembly notes, however, there are still 659 patients waiting over 24 weeks for physiotherapy and 4,059 waiting from 12 to 24 weeks for a physiotherapy outpatient appointment.
The Assembly calls on the government to make sure that the talent grown in Wales is not lost and that commissioners invest in physiotherapy services so they can employ these graduates.
