Electric shock training devices

The National Assembly for Wales condemns the sale and use of electric shock training devices to train and control dogs, understands that positive training methods produce dogs which are trained quickly and reliably with no potential for cruelty, welcomes the decision taken in June, 2008, by the Minister for Rural Affairs to ban such devices in Wales, welcomes the second stage of the consultation issued by the Welsh Assembly Government, encourages AMs to respond, and thanks the Kennel Club for its endless pursuit of the issue.
