Supporting Credit Union Expansion in Wales

The National Assembly for Wales welcomes:

a) the success of ABCUL's bid to deliver the UK Government's Credit Union Expansion Project, which several Credit Unions in Wales have already signed up to join; and

b) the Project’s objective of helping Credit Unions to upgrade their systems , achieve economies of scale, offer a wider, more advanced and more competitive range of products and services and, on a sustainable basis, offer affordable credit to consumers who might otherwise have no alternative to using high-cost lenders.
