Title of the proposed Bill:

NHS (Wales) Elimination of Wastage in Medication Bill

Policy Objectives of the proposed Bill:

The policy objectives of the Bill are:

1. To change the rules regarding the use of unused medication so they can be reissued to avoid wastage and save costs; and
2. To ensure all healthcare providers and services work together to share information and patient records to deliver better co-ordination between doctors, pharmacists and health care providers thereby avoiding wastage in medication.
