AMs continue inquiry into bovine TB

The Assembly’s Rural Development Sub-Committee is continuing its inquiry into bovine TB with a meeting in the Senedd on September 20. Members will take evidence from the Independent Scientific Group chaired by Professor John Bourn, which published its final report, entitled Bovine TB: The Scientific Evidence, in June this year.RSPCA Cymru and the Badger Trust will also give evidence at the meeting. Sub-committee Chair Alun Davies AM said: “The Rural Development Sub-Committee is acting quickly to revisit Bovine TB in the light of the recent report. It is clear that we need to continue our efforts in combating the disease; and we hope to make a significant contribution to this. I am looking forward to being able to question Professor Bourn on the ISG report, and to hearing evidence from the two voluntary organisations.” The meeting takes place at 9.45am on Thursday September 20 in Committee Room 3, Senedd, Cardiff Bay.
