Assembly committee stroke inquiry gets underway

22 September 2011

The National Assembly for Wales’s Health and Social Care Committee will begin taking evidence for its inquiry on stroke risk reduction in Wales on Thursday (22 September).

The Committee will hear from the Stroke Association in Wales and the Atrial Fibrillation Association for the inquiry, which will examine the current provision of stroke risk reduction services in Wales and the effectiveness of Welsh Government policies in the area.

The Atrial Fibrillation Association’s evidence will focus on the merits of an atrial fibrillation screening programme being launched in Wales – an area of interest to the Committee.

The Health and Social Care Committee meeting will take place at 09:30am in committee room 1.
