Rosemary Butler, the National Assembly’s Deputy Presiding Officer, is taking part in the ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ today (September 25th).

The coffee morning is one of thousands taking place across Wales and the UK aimed at raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The Deputy Presiding Officer is attending one at High Cross Primary School in Newport West - which regularly participates in the fundraising event.

“I am delighted to be visiting High Cross Primary today to take part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning – a simple yet fun way to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support,” said Deputy Presiding Officer Rosemary Butler AM.

“There are 108,000 people living with cancer in Wales and holding a coffee morning is an easy way to make sure that Macmillan has the money to continue its vital work.

“I’m looking forward to raising a mug (and some funds!) with the pupils, family and friends of the school.”
