Audit Committee to discuss National Fraud Initiative

The Assembly’s Audit Committee will discuss the Wales Audit Office’s recent report on the National Fraud Initiative with Mr Jeremy Colman, the Auditor General for Wales at its next meeting on Thursday July 3rd.

The report, published earlier this year, found that the 2006/2007 National Fraud Initiative exercise has resulted in large savings to the public purse and has helped the Welsh public sector to improve its counter fraud arrangements.

Committee members will also discuss the Welsh Assembly Government’s response to its report on Minimising Healthcare Associated Infections in NHS Trusts in Wales.

The meeting takes place in Committee Room 3, Senedd, Cardiff Bay, at 9:30am on Thursday July 3rd.
