Pupils from Ysgol Gyfun Cymer in the Rhondda enjoyed a visit to the National Assembly for Wales, Cardiff Bay this week as part of their Personal and Social Education (PSE) class.

Local AM Leighton Andrews welcomed pupils before they were shown the Neuadd, Oriel, Committee gallery and Siambr gallery, to learn more about the workings of the Assembly and how decision that are made there affect their lives.

Courtney Ryall who is a year 12 pupil at Ysgol Gyfun Cymer said:

"I learnt a lot from the tour, mainly because the tour guide brought it down to my level. It was great to see where it all happens and for it to be explained in such a simple way. The tour guide obviously loves his job and that came through."

Catrin Williams who is a teacher at Ysgol Gyfun Cymer said:

"It's always a pleasure to come to the Senedd, the staff are very welcoming and informative. I want to thank the tour guide for another superb visit. We are planning next year's visit already!"
