Deputy Speaker of Nepal to Visit the National Assembly for Wales

Mrs Chitra Lekha Yadav, the Deputy Speaker of Nepal, will visit the National Assembly for Wales on Wednesday 24th October 2007 to learn more about the representation of women in politics. She will meet with Rosemary Butler AM the Deputy Presiding Officer, Christine Chapman AM, Joyce Watson AM and Nerys Evans AM, before taking a tour around the Senedd and visiting the Assembly’s  Education facilities at the Pierhead building. Mrs Butler said “I am very glad that Mrs Yadav will be visiting the National Assembly of Wales. I am very pleased to know that Wales’s reputation as a standard bearer for the representation of women in politics has encouraged politicians from other nations to come and learn more about the Assrmbly.”
