Finance Committee to scrutinise Minister on draft Welsh Government budget

The Assembly’s Finance Committee is to hold a follow up meeting with the Minister for Finance, Andrew Davies, on the draft Welsh Assembly Government budget.

The Minister presented his budget to the Committee at their meeting on 8 November.   Since then the Committee has taken evidence from Local Government, the NHS and other Assembly Committees.  The Finance Committee now plans a final session at which it will scrutinise the Minister in the light of the evidence it has received.

Alun Cairns AM, said: “As the Assembly’s Finance Committee, scrutinising the draft budget is a most important role.    We have gathered some important and valuable evidence from recent witnesses to the Committee and look forward to a robust and effective discussion with the Minister.”

The meeting takes place at 9.30am on Tuesday, November 27 in the Senedd.
