Group established to gather evidence on Dyslexia

The Enterprise and Learning Committee of the National Assembly for Wales has established a rapporteur group to gather evidence on dyslexia. The cross party group of AMs (Alun Cairns, Jeff Cuthbert, Janet Ryder and Kirsty Williams) will consider established, innovative and emerging approaches to the treatment of dyslexia.   Members will gather evidence from the Welsh Dyslexia Project, the British Dyslexia Association Cymru, Dyslexia Action, British Dyslexics and Dyslexia Wales as well as visiting the Cardiff Dore Centre, the Bangor Dyslexia Unit and Deeside College during the summer recess and early part of the Autumn Term. The group will then submit a report and recommendations on its findings to the Enterprise and Learning Committee during National Dyslexia week which runs from November 5th – 10th.
