The line-up for a unique gig at the Senedd at the end of September has been announced as Geraint Jarman, Eädyth & Jukebox, Gwilym, Rachel K Collier and Afro Cluster.
Held in a spectacular setting in Cardiff Bay, the free Gig GWLAD will take place on Saturday 28 September, starting at 8.00pm. Free tickets are available now on the website www.devolution20.wales/gwlad
As part of the GWLAD: Future Wales Festival, the gig has been arranged in partnership between the National Assembly for Wales, BBC Horizons and the music promoters Pyst. It is a celebration of Welsh talents, as part of a varied festival schedule which includes conversations, discussions, art, music and comedy.
Influential musician and punk poet Geraint Jarman headlines a varied line-up of artists across several genres; some are experienced performers whilst others are enjoying success as breakthrough artists with the support of BBC Horizons.
Geraint Jarman - The influential musician, singer and poet who has enjoyed a prolific career as a solo artist and with his band Geraint Jarman a’r Cynganeddwyr since the 1960s. He is credited for introducing genres such as reggae to the Welsh language music, as well as using music to voice protest and social dispute. He remains a major influence on current and up and coming artists.
Eädyth & Jukebox - Electronic dance music at the highest standard. Her vocals, ability to craft songs and then deliver them live in spectacular and engaging shows, is nothing short of amazing.
Gwilym - Indie-rockers from Caernarfon and Anglesey, headliners of Dydd Miwsig Cymru (Welsh Language Music Day) and winners of five Gwobrau Selar 2019 awards.
Rachel K Collier - One-woman electronic production machine, Rachel K Collier is known for using a multi-instrument technical setup to enable her to perform her high-energy productions in a live setting.
Afro Cluster - A collective of musicians from all over South Wales. They’re excellent proof that the best music exists between and beyond genre and national borders and are reputed as being one of the finest live bands in Wales.

GWLAD festival is part of a schedule of activity to mark 20 years of devolution and aims to spark a conversation about the future of Wales focusing on a range of subjects such as culture, politics, diversity and equality, journalism, sport and language.
Among the other event in the festival are ‘in conversation’ sessions with Charlotte Church and Rhys Ifans, a discussion about sports with Colin Charvis and Tanni Grey-Thompson, ac a packed schedule of discussions with partners such as Race Council Wales, Hay Festival, Chwarae Teg, Wales Governance Centre and Public Affairs Wales.
