“The National Assembly for Wales is fully behind the Anti-bullying Alliance’s campaign,” said Presiding Officer Rosemary Butler AM. “Any form of homophobic, racial, disability or any other type of bullying or hate crime should be challenged wherever it rears its ugly head. It causes so much pain and distress to those who are on the receiving end of such anti-social and inhumane behaviour. “We do not tolerate such behaviour at the National Assembly and have strict guidelines and procedures in place to ensure that behaviour of this kind is not part of the working environment at the Senedd. I would urge those who have experienced such bullying first hand or those who have witnessed it done to another person to report it to the authorities immediately.”
