On Saturday 3 November, Outreach Manager for South Wales; Kevin Davies, delivered a workshop to UNISON members. Participants took part in activities aimed towards clarifying what comes under the control of local authorities, the National Assembly for Wales and Westminster, as well as receiving a presentation on the history of the Assembly, who their Members are, and how they can get involved in the work of the Assembly, and raise issues. Ryan Williams, Area Organiser for UNISON, said after the session: “UNISON Young Members from across Wales were glad to have the chance to be able to engage and build a knowledge of their National Assembly and Government and how devolution can assist them in their work and how it plays a part in our everyday lives. They found the workshop interesting, informative, easy to understand whilst having fun. UNISON young members in Wales look forward to putting what they learnt into practice in the new year.” The Assembly’s Outreach Team provides this service across Wales, for further information contact Kevin Davies, Outreach Manager for South Wales on 02920 898 145 / kevin.davies2@wales.gov.uk, or Lowri Williams, Outreach Manager for North Wales on 01492 523 220 / lowri.williams@wales.gov.uk.
