The Welsh Parliament is the democratically elected body that represents Wales and its people. We make laws for Wales, agree Welsh taxes, and oversee the work of the Welsh Government. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the Senedd has continued to operate effectively, and our teams have ensured delivery of outstanding parliamentary support despite the challenges resulting from the pandemic.
We are now looking for a Director of Resources who can build on the successful platform we have created. You will be a strategic operator who has the skills and experience to shape our current and future services and support transformative change, ensuring that as our organisation evolves, it has the capabilities and capacity to support the Senedd to run efficiently and effectively.
Reporting into the CEO and working with a talented executive team, you will provide leadership for the strategic planning of our corporate priorities, shaping responsive services, identifying efficiencies and determining our future infrastructure needs. You will be used to promoting an inclusive culture, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that we deliver excellent parliamentary services during a time of unprecedented change.

Chief Legal Adviser Welsh Parliament
Part time 3 days a week

We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our team and help us to continue to deliver outstanding parliamentary services to the Senedd on behalf of the people of Wales. A qualified barrister or solicitor, you will have the objectivity and judgement to enable you to provide outstanding legal advice to the Senedd as it continues to evolve in a dynamic political and constitutional landscape and respond to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Already experienced in providing impartial advice on complex, sensitive public-law issues to a wide range of senior stakeholders you will be the ultimate arbiter of legal advice for all Members of the Senedd, Commission colleagues and the Independent Remuneration Board. You will be excited at the prospect of dealing with varied, complex, and on occasions, novel public, and constitutional law issues.
