The Senedd continues to be an innovative parliament, excelling in areas such bilingualism, gender equality, utilising technology to enhance parliamentary business and young people’s participation.
The IRT (International Relations Team) support international activities that showcase these strengths and that link directly to the Senedd's policy, procedural and corporate interests. The Senedd looks outwards to promote its work and identify opportunities to exchange knowledge and collaborate on an inter-parliamentary basis in the interests of the people of Wales.
Through participation in international parliamentary networks and engagement in bespoke programmes and activities, the Senedd aims to promote and exchange best parliamentary practice internationally; and ensure that the Senedd is positioned appropriately as a distinct, innovative and progressive international legislature on the world stage.
The Senedd has a small International Relations Team (IRT) which sits within the Private Office to support the Presiding Officers, Senedd Commissioners and Members in their international activities. The following links provide more information:
