Background

Background to the consultation

The corporate body for the Senedd is known as the Senedd Commission.

The Senedd Commission serves the Senedd to help facilitate its long-term success as a strong, accessible, inclusive and forward looking parliament that delivers effectively for the people of Wales.

Our 2016-21 Diversity and Inclusion Strategy is being refreshed to reflect the strategic priorities of the Sixth Senedd Commission.

Draft objectives

We have developed four priority objectives alongside a roadmap to achieving them to further inclusion as an employer and a parliamentary organisation.

The priority objectives cover:

  • Strategy and Governance
  • Leadership, Culture and Values
  • Recruitment and Employment
  • An accessible, inclusive parliament for the people of Wales
