The Presiding Officer of the Welsh Parliament, Elin Jones MS, and the Senedd's Business Committee agreed to move to a hybrid model for plenary meetings before the end of the summer term in 2020, with some Members participating on Zoom and a maximum of 20 Members contributing from the Chamber. In March 2022 the Business Committee agreed that remote participation in Senedd proceedings would continue. Today there are there are no longer any restrictions on the number of Members attending Plenary or committee meetings in person. Any Member can participate and vote remotely and Members are subject to the Guidance on the Proper Conduct of Senedd Business and the Guidance on Virtual and Hybrid Proceedings, issued in accordance with Standing Order 6.17.
